In the mean time, I am trying to plan our last big hurrah of a vacation (until after PA school of course). We decided last year that it would be a lot of fun to have one of us plan a big vacation one year without telling the other anything except what days they needed off work and what to pack, then switching it up the next year. Sounds like a fun idea, right?
Well, it definitely is. I am the lucky one planning the vacation this year. The one thing I failed to foresee when we were making these elaborate plans was how hard it would be to not talk to Hunter about it! I just want to tell him all of the exciting things that I keep planning or seeing the potential to plan. Instead, everyone at work knows all about where we might be going and what we might be doing while there. I had to let it out somewhere that it wouldn't get back to him...haha.
I don't have a plan set in stone just yet, but I do have a pretty good idea of where we will be going. It is still up for debate though. I also have a pretty good idea of the days so at least we have an idea of what days we will need to get off - late August, early September.
The only thing I can say for certain is this: I had no idea how hard it would be to plan something this exciting with only minimal, vague input from Hunter. But, I'm definitely excited about it :)
Here are some of the possibilities, in no particular order, giving nothing away:
New Zealand (very small chance, as awesome as it would be, and Hunter is aware of that fact)
Oahu, Hawaii
Italy (Venice and Rome)
England
Thailand
Does anybody have a favorite among those options? I am certainly open to suggestions, although you should be aware that this will still remain my little secret until we board the plane :) Let me know what you think!

ReplyDeleteRyan and I went to Oahu, Hawaii on our Honeymoon and LOVED it. I've always wanted to see England and Italy. I don't think you can go wrong with any of these options!
ReplyDeleteMy first pick would be New Zealand! Aah it would be amazing!! but since it has a slim chance I would pick Thailand...I hear the culture is really neat :) I had an international business teacher that lived over there for awhile.
