The Countdown: 11 days left!

There are officially 11 days left until our mystery vacation begins. Activities are planned, last minute items have been bought, and Hunter has his (hopefully vague) packing list.

If I thought it was hard to keep it a secret from Hunter before, it is continually becoming harder the closer we get. I want to be all excited and talk about all the awesome things we are going to do. Buuuuut, I can't do that.

I am impressed that I haven't given it away just yet...although I think my sneaky husband has figured it out somehow. I guess we'll find out soon! I am having a harder time not slipping and saying something that would give it away than I am not keeping it a secret.

Here's to hoping that this really is a secret and that it will stay that way for 11 more days when the fun begins!

A Day in the Life of Ameya

Yes we are those people. The type of people that treat their dog like their child. But, really, how could you not? What is not to love about this little dog? Here are some pictures and videos that give you a good idea what a day with our little dog is like. Never a dull moment, really.

She likes to cuddle and sleep. Indeed, most of her day is occupied with one or both of these activities.

Rawhide is one of her favorite things.

After chewing on it for a while, she almost always feels the need to bury it. Why? I am not sure. I'm sure it has something to do with her natural instincts. The following video usually follows a period of running around our apartment whining at top decibel and trying to find an appropriate spot to bury it.

Then, of course, it's time for another nap. She worked hard burying that rawhide after all.

Followed by more napping...

Then some more...

There has to be a little playtime in there everyday. Sometimes it's a walk, sometimes she gets to hang out with other dogs. The other dog in this video happens to be her new best friend, Avery, a baby golden retriever.

See what I mean? What's not to love?
